Company History

Beginnings: The Company was founded by John Droz over 30 years ago on a simple premise- all clients would be treated the same way the associates would want to be treated. The mission statement was, effectively, the Golden Rule. Already a seasoned business owner from the building industry, Mr. Droz knew that clients would flock to a real estate company that combined experience and integrity as well as achieving the desired results for its clients.

In 1984, showing great foresight, Faith Properties became the second Coldwell Banker Franchise in all of New York State, carrying the blue and white banner for close to 30 years. By the time that John Brown, the top agent with the firm, took over as owner in 2007, Coldwell Banker Faith Properties had enjoyed many years of success as the top broker in the Mohawk Valley. More importantly, for as long as anyone at the Greater Utica Rome Board of Realtors could remember, we held the distinction of never being cited with a violation of the Realtor’s Code of Ethics.

Today Coldwell Banker Faith Properties is still the top selling real estate brokerage in the Utica Rome area. In fact in 2011 it gained the distinction of being the number one selling Coldwell Banker office, ranked by size, in the northern half of the United States and in early 2012 the number one listing office for the same area.

Much more important than "being Number One" are the reasons for it. The primary directive of our company is still the same as it was the first day- the Golden Rule. Our client’s interests are our reason for being and they are paramount. Trustworthiness is the first thing people working with us enjoy. Our fellow Realtors in the local Multiple Listing Service are our allies- they help sell our listings and we sell theirs. We actively cooperate with them for the good of all. Our agents are carefully chosen for their high levels of experience and integrity. They are held to a healthy minimum homes sales quota each year; because we believe that only through practice can they stay the best.

We constantly strive to combine the strongest marketing program and the most effective use of proven technology in a quest to give our sellers and buyers the kind of service and results that they deserve. Our agents and staff nurture each listing and transaction to provide the best experience possible for both the seller and the buyer.
